Peddling from the apocolypse

The scenario is 1 week form now Melbourne will be unihabbitable. Furthermore other capital and regional cities are not communcating with us so we dont know the state they are in or whether we can simply relocate.

The Government is digging a trenche around melbourne as a barrier, it has steep sides and is thirty feet deep and fifty feet wide. We can get out with ladders but cars can not leave.

We have been told that in twelve months some relief will come we have to survive and maintain ourselves for this time independently of our current amenaties and convieniences.

John So has told us to be independent and free of infrastructure, to ride our bikes and get out of here. you have 1 week to prepare.

a/ Fleash out teh scenario.
b/ determine what you will need and who will be with you
c/ what will you design and how will you live in a mobile peddle powered world.

Some new develoments. A group of people tried to go to sea, it resulted in their demise. We must head inland. Also dont forget the refugees of melbourne are all exitting, we are obliged, by our humanity to accomodate members of society with reduded capacity, Blake cannot leave his grandmother and matts sister is eight months pregnent. How will we take care of such people.
Not all people are helpless Elias has a nephew who is eight years old, he has enrgy and is keen to help, but he is a child that must play and learn as we travel. He will nee to rest as we move and may need to sleep on the go.

linda cannot live without a shower at least once a week. For our mental health and sense of humanity we must accomodate hygine and cultual acts of significance. Bathing will require modesty for many people and toilets are a must on our journey. Given teh nutritional value of humanmanure we can use it to fertilise small farmlets we travel with.
